Meet The Team

My name is Büşra and I am 21 years old. I was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey. I am studying B.A. in English Language Teaching at Istanbul Medipol University. I am a senior year student right now. Also, I am doing double-major in Applied English Translation. I studied and graduated from the foreign language track in high school, as well. I love exploring and learning new things such as cultures and languages. I also enjoy trying out new cuisines with my friends. I consider myself a lifelong learner and push my limits by stepping out of my comfort zone. I am taking additional courses apart from my classes such as "How to Teach Online", "Blended Language Learning: Design and Practice for Teachers", "Autism Spectrum Disorder ", "School Health for Children and Adolescents Specialization", "Inclusive Leadership: The Power of Workplace Diversity", "Academic Listening and Note-Taking", "Learn to Speak Korean 1", "Chinese Culture and Contemporary China", etc. Additionally, I am selected to participate in 3 different courses provided by different universities across Turkey and supported by TUBITAK so far. Also, I am about to finish my TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate program from Arizona State University. My goal is to become the best version of myself and pursue my educator life successfully. 

Hello, my name is Eren Hakan. I am 21 years old, and I am originally from Sivas but I live in Istanbul with my family. I am a pre-service teacher studying English Language Teaching at Istanbul Medipol University. I am a senior student in this department. Also, I am doing double major in the Psychology department. I like people but especially children, teaching something new to people, learning new things, researching, and discovering impressive things. Also, I like learning new languages such as Italian and Spanish. I have tutoring experience from last year. I had two students: five years old girl and eight years old boy. So, I am getting on well with young learners and I like them a lot. I believe that language learning only comes true with a lot of practice, enthusiasm, and motivation in a safe and enjoyable setting.

I’m Ayça, I’m 21 years old, and I’m from Istanbul. I’m in the ELT department, and I’m in my senior year of university. The one thing I love the most doing is going to the cinema. I love animals and everything about them. I would like to continue my academic career and improve myself academically.

My name is İkbal. I'm studying English Language Teaching at Medipol University. I'm 21 years old. English has been always my favorite subject in school. Thats why I'm really glad that I am majoring in English Language Teaching. In this way, I can instill in other people and students the love and importance of learning a foreign language. In my opinion, learning new languages expands your world view. I like to read books and I generally prefer to read books in English to expand my knowledge of the language. I think the best way is to learn by practice. Thanks to this club, we will offer people the opportunity to practice their English. That's why I'm happy to be a part of this club.
